STAY

Henry’s Cottage, circa 1878, is named after Sir Henry Parkes, the gentleman who gave what became known as the Tenterfield Oration in 1879 – in short, the speech that changed a nation, leading to the federation of Australia.

This classic country cottage features four spacious queen bedrooms one containing two queen beds and can sleep 10.

At the rear of the cottage there is a courtyard with outdoor table and chairs or you can relax on the veranda and watch the world go by while sipping on a glass of local wine.

Of course in the cooler months (and it really does get cool in Tenterfield in winter), enjoy the warmth of a log fire in the cosy lounge. Friends can also gather around the sizeable dining table (seats 10) where many have been known to spin yarns and tell tales tall and true.

The kitchen/dining area contains a fridge/freezer, microwave and sink for drink and snack preparation.
